Hello! I am John Cothron
Licensed Mental Health Counselor, FL #MH16207; Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, NC #19374; Licensed Professional Counselor, VA #0701012289
Being a veteran, I comprehend the unique challenges military families encounter and am well-equipped to facilitate their healing journey. I am deeply committed to helping individuals navigate through their circumstances with a non-condemning Christian perspective, aiming for resolution and growth.
I am passionate about counseling and uplifting individuals and families, regardless of the circumstances we encounter. I thrive when working with clients who are prepared to confront challenges and make positive changes to enhance their current situations. Life presents unexpected challenges and obstacles, and navigating through these tough times alone can be daunting. However, there is always hope for healing and inner wellness.
My practice focuses on assisting individuals, couples, and families dealing with a range of issues such as PTSD, anxiety, trauma, infidelity, family conflicts, anger, depression, and addiction. I advocate for a relational therapy approach and tailor therapeutic techniques to suit each client’s needs, incorporating methods like Accelerated Resolution Therapy (A.R.T.) and Reconsolidation of Traumatic Memories (RTM).
